Parakeets: names, care, and more?

I’m getting parakeets (:

So, I’d like to know anything you’d like to tell me. I’ll be getting two of them, and i was thinking that the names would be sushi and wasabi — although I’d LOVE any name suggestions you have (as long as they’re related, not something like Cat and Fork).
Reccomend products to me, too! I’d love to know what things work for you, and what didn’t. Specifically for things like food, cages, toys and treats.

Share anything else you can, too!
Oh yes, and i’d be getting parakeets of different colors, if that helps you come up with names
I don’t want to get two white ones… or two of any of the same color. I’d like to be able to distinguish them quickly, lol

and where could i get one, along with a cage, food, bedding, etc if i decided to?

i live in the UK, so we dont have places like PetCo, PetsMart, Wal-Mart, K-Mart…or any of those normal pet stores.

Any good advice on how to take care of a Parakeet?

Yesterday we found him by our pool, just standing there. We think he was previously owned because his wings have been clipped and all he can do is flutter. We have never had a bird as a pet so we really have no idea what to do. He is our first bird by the way. He doesn’t seem fully grown and hes like a canary yellow color with some white on his chest. We are not sure what species of parakeet he is exactly so we don’t know how best to handle him. Because we found him stray, we are assuming that he flew from his original home or he was released. He’s really skittish if you get to close to him and he is kinda jumppy. Please post some decent advice.

how do i keep my parakeets warm to prevent death during the winter?

I have two parakeets that my 2 yr. old daughter begged and cried for last time were were in the store. everyday she talks to them and tells them to eat and sleep. she loves them so much i myself have started to like them as well. Being this the first time that I am caring for two parakeets, I want to make sure they make it through the cold winter. What should I do to keep them from dying? Thank you in advance.

What are some tips on handling/taking care of a parakeet?

As odd as it might sound, I recently gained a pet parakeet at a yard sale. I believe it to be a boy, by the blue coloring above it’s beak. I’ve had parakeets before, but it’s been awhile, and am looking for tips on handling it.

My new parakeet is of course, still getting used to me and my home, and is quite fluttery when I open the cage to feed it. What tips are there for getting the bird used to me, and maybe trying to teach it a couple tricks?

Mostly, I’d just like to know how to help get my bird used to me. Thanks in advance

i just inherited a new blue parakeet, i dont know its age or sex. it has a cage with some neat gadgets in it and some seeds for food. what are some tips on keeping it happy?

can a vet take care of a parakeet with an upper respiratory infection and if so how?

im taking my parakeet to the vet to get him checked out and ive been doing some research online. i found out that he has an upper respiratory infection. i was just wondering what he will do to cure it and if he even can. will it hurt the bird to have it fixed.
