Parakeets are actually very simple birds to take care of, just make sure that it has enough food and water and treat’s and stuff. Don’t vacuum by the bird, they have really delicate respiratory systems and for the most part they can’t take dust and particles that are in the air from your vacuum, so while your vacuuming, just move the bird around so its never in the same room as the vacuum. There really isn’t an explanation for why your dog will be getting sick, I guess it just depends on the breed, if worst comes to worst just separate the dog and the bird, or what would be easier would be placing a blanket or some sort of covering over the birds cage while your out, the bird will be tricked into thinking that it is nighttime and will end up going to sleep and the dog won’t be bothered by it. If you have any more questions feel free to contact me.
make sure u just keep it happy and active
the dog is jealous pay more attention to him/her keep the bird in the cage the dog may try to kill it
Well….you can put the parakeet in a room and shut the door. (duh) and check on it. That will solve the dog problem. And for general caring for a parakeet change it’s water about 1 every 2 days. Mabey 2 a week i look in his food bowl and if the top is covered in opened seeds, i just sturr it up w/ my finger. Depending on how long you’ll be taking care of the bird clean it’s cage once every 3 weeks. It will keep the bird happy and healthy. I hope this helped you. Oh and If you need annymore information just get a parakeet book at the pet store or library!
Well dont put them in the same room with each other, that will put stress on both of them. just keep the bird happy.(talk to it, give it a bird treat, stuff like that)
Good luck!
