How to take care of a baby parakeet?

    Category: Parakeet Community

My niece is 10 years old and has a baby girl parakeet and right now it looks very scared so what can we do to make it feel safer. I have 2 other birds myself and they are a male lovebird and a girl cockatiel . Do you think if i put them in a cage together they will get along?

The parakeet and the cockatiel probably will get along especially if the parakeet is young… but do not put the lovebird with either of them… lovebirds are territorial and aggressive and probably would kill the parakeet and cockatiel.

As far the the little parakeet feeling scared… put a towel or small blacket over part of the cage… so it will feel secure… keep its cage in a low traffic area where it can have some peace and quiet. If the parakeet id already scared… I would not put it with the cockatiel… that will only frighten it more.
