   First of all get her a nice cage with proper bar spacing. Get her a nice parakeet diet of seeds and pellet food from a petstore. Get her a few different perches and some different toys for a bird her size. Give her lots of attention and love. Talk to her whistle to her. Start taking her out of cage for a fly in the house in a safe area. Make sure mirrors are covered and there are no other pets around, open windows or ceiling fans. Make sure not pots of water or open tiolet bowl lids. Get some spray millet from pet store andhang in cage they love it. Make sure you know all the dangers to birds. I will give you some from the top of my head. No aeresol cleaners at all ever. Teflon cooking pans that over heat are deadly to birds. amonia fumes. smoke. no air freshners. Make sure you never feed avacodos or chocolate. They have really good books at the petstore about these little birds. Look up parakeets on web. Good luck and enjoy:)

   Do everything that Beth said. I have four parakeets and we’ve had them for a year. I do everything that beth said. That’s why I’m not saying anything.
