They can be pretty noisy. You have to feed and water every day. You have to provide a wholesome diet, not just seeds, and not pellets at all for a budgie. Fresh foods that are healthy will help round out their diet. You will need to train them, keep the cage clean, and purchase toys for them.

There are a few budgie sites on my links page, please go there and read.

i have an indian ringneck and a peachface and they are very noisy but they are also very tame and need alot of attention from me or they get bored and toss their food around and make a mess, budgies are also a nice beginner bird, my grandpa breed them in avairies but all birds are messy and you have to be prepared to give them the attention they need or they will drive you crazy!!!

Parakeets are easy birds to take care of. Just make sure they have a cage big enought to flap there wings and fresh food and water every day. Depending upon the bird it’s cagge will need cleaned out every 3-7 days. Thats not hard eighter. Just make sure you spend alot of time with it and it will become your best friend.
