I see that the audio has been removed. I think it’s time to leave youtube and use other video sharing pages that doesn’t cut our freedom.

We used to have parakeets that rode our Lionel trains. Unfortunately our 2 year old decided that the birds and ferrets would make nice playmates.

One ferret ate 12 parakeets in 3 days.

how many birdes do they have???

  7. shoyruryu on March 11th, 2010 8:48 pm

That means that they trimmed the outermost feathers so they can only fly short distances. Sort of a fly-hop. It doesn’t hurt a bird, don’t worry.

The audio was removed because it was, “Last Train to Clarksville?” Give me a break. When did the Monkees last sell a copy, 1968? What the hell crawled up the impacted colon of the WMG people?

Sometimes birds just need time to get used to their surroundings. A good method to use is the Clicker Training method. Get a bottle cap, or an actualy clicker, and when your bird sits on your finger, click and giver him/her a treat. It may still fly around, but every time it climbs on your finger, click and give it a treat. You can use this method for any number of behaviors/tricks. But first your bird has to know it can trust you. Talk softly to it and don’t make sudden hand movements.

you don’t have to, but they are easier to train with their wings clipped,
but when i got my parakeet, i hand trained right away so i never went to go get them clipped again.
