question!

i just got a white parakeet, he’s by himself and i’m concerned that he’s not very happy…. i try to gethim out of thecage and he doesn’t like it he flied around and then he wants to go back. Also he won’t sing and it seems like h always wants to be asleep. The cage is of fair size and he’s got food, water, a swing, and some toys but he only stays in one spot unless i move him.
Im concerned i’m doing something wrong. What can i do to make him feel happier?
any advice would be great!
