Red Crowned Parakeet – A LONG WAY FROM HOME !

    Category: Parakeet Videos

They are only found living wild in New Zealand. However I found this one sitting on my bird feeder thousands of miles away, here in Wolverhampton…in the UK !

Hello Misterduncan!!!. You’re very lucky the bird escaped from one cage and now it’s in your garden. The only problem, the Parakeet is alone.
Thanks a lot from Dominican Republic.

Beautiful bird! Perhaps it’s not casual… He/she wants to speak English with you and as he believes to be in the Commonwealth… Cheers! Carlos G.

Thank you, Mr. Duncan! That was most interesting! Thank you for sharing this video! The bird is wonderful — very pretty. “Beautiful pluuumage!” :D

More seriously — a bizzare occurence, but, probably, it had run away from somebody’s home. I wonder how it will nake it in the city jungle. Well, it’s certainly got something of a harbour in your back garden; let’s hope it can use it!

Yes, also here in Valencia, Spain, we now have tropical birds in our gardens. They’re supossed to be runaway pets. Perhaps they’re breeding too.

It seems to be glad… No more cage!
      Winter…
But quality of life is more important than quantity of years lived.

Mr. Duncan you are the best english teacher but your “birds thing” is a little boried. no offense. just an opinion.

      Thanks anyway

    22. Raguel22 on March 12th, 2010 5:53 am

Is the bird perhaps a runaway pet?
