Questions about pet parakeets - My brothers pets & he doesnt take care of them so I have to & Idk how?

My little brother has two pet parakeets that he has had for a few years. Well, he doesnt take proper care of them so I have to in order to keep them living. I change their seed, water, cage etc. but I honestly dont know if they need anything else, different seed, do their toenails need clipped? They are really long & curling under, is that normal? Is regular seed for parakeets ok? Should they be eating something else? Any info on these birds will be helpful, thanks!

How to take care of a baby parakeet?

My niece is 10 years old and has a baby girl parakeet and right now it looks very scared so what can we do to make it feel safer. I have 2 other birds myself and they are a male lovebird and a girl cockatiel . Do you think if i put them in a cage together they will get along?

Can you handle baby parakeets that are a week old,w/out the mother stopping taking care of them?

my parakeet had babies and I really need to change and clean out the cage. Is it safe to touch the birds without stressing them out or upsetting the mother to where she stops caring for them. I have looked at sites and i am getting mixed answers from every site I look at. They are all telling me something different. Thanks for any help that anyone can give me on this.

How can I built my parakeets’ trust?

I have two parakeets at home, I play with them, take care of them and everything,I let them out often,but a few months later,they doesn’t seems to like me around them anymore,not,at least they let me play with them, but they didn’t let me touch them .How can i biult my parakeets’ trust again?

What do I need to keep my budgies (parakeets) as healthy as possible for breeding?

What do I need to HAVE before they can even start breeding? Im really nervous about how healthy my birds are. And if I am even consideing to have them breed, I want to know what they need to be fed and what they need to be as healthy as possible. What is bad to do, and what is good to do with parakeets. What type of foods are best, and how can i tell if they are healthy or sick. Also, how often do i need to cut their wings, and is it necessary (also with claws)? I NEED THE 411 ON PARAKEETS CARE AND TECHNIQUES. PLAESE HELP!
