Can Parakeets and Lovebirds and cockatiels be kept together?

The age old question has a simply yet complicated answer.

Lovebirds, parakeets and cockatiels can be kept together and sometimes they can not be kept together. It all depends on the personality and attitude of the birds as each bird is different in personality from others just like we humans they have unique personalities. But usually the Lovebirds are the ones that decide whether they can be kept together as the parakeets and cockatiels get along with each other as both are very friendly and docile creatures, whereas the lovebirds are more territorial and have been known to attack other pet birds, big or small and have been known to kill budgies and cockatiels or just break their legs or rip open thier beaks.

After saying this you might be wondering if you can ever keep them together, actually my birds get along very well, you can see HD videos of Parakeets, Lovebirds and cockatiels living happily together at the Link i have provided at the bottom. There you can also see that its not always a rosy picture and they do fight when it comes to who gets to eat first.

Final verdict is try keeping them together under constant supervision untill you are confident that they will live together in harmony. Even then never leave them too long without supervision as you can never tell what they will be up to.

This is adry subject and just reading will not help, you need to see my Birds in HD videos I have posted at the link name- Lovebirds Parakeets Cockatiels Together and understand better how they react around each other.

    Hope it helped.

Can I use a Teflon Pan while having Cockatiels & Parakeets?

Hi. I just bought two cockatiels not too long ago (3 months old & they’re HUGE). I was warned that any pans or pots that are teflon will be fatal to them if over heated. Does this apply to parakeets as well? I had my parakeets for 3 years now & been using two teflon items from that time, a pot for pasta and a pan for mostly pancakes and bacon. I mostly use the pan when making breakfast & i usually spend 10-15 minutes cooking and the parakeets are about 20-25 feet away from the stove, plus i open the windows and turn on the fan for venting. These birds never showed any signs of illness and they’re half the size of the two cockatiels i just bought. I’ve placed the cockatiels in my living room, further away from the kitchen ( 30-35 feet at most ) but i have an open space from the kitchen to the living room in which they have no doors between them. Should I throw the teflon away or just use them less frequently? Also, I’ve heard that if the cockatiels feet suddenly gets warm at times, it signifies that they’re happy, which happened when I was playing with them. Is that true? Any advice will be gracefully appreciated. Thank You :)
