We have a cat and a parakeet. We keep them in seperate rooms most of the time. When we have had them in the same room, we have had to grab the cat when he approached the cage. Is there any chance that we can train the cat to not go after the parakeet and train the parakeet not to be afraid of the cat?

How do you train your parakeet?

I have 2 lovely, but not very friendly parakeets. I’m fairly new to all this (i.e – owning/training parakeets). How do you guys train your parakeets? I’ve seen videos of parakeets flying onto hands, heads, cuddling upto owners etc and I have no clue how to get my parakeets to do that. My birds are never locked up (except at night while they sleep), wings aren’t clipped, they get spoilt with food and treats…
